Nature of Service: The Tending Circle is not a therapy service and does not constitute or replace mental health treatment, psychotherapy, counseling, or any licensed clinical service. Participation in the Tending Circle does not establish a therapist-client relationship of any kind.
No Contract by Inquiry: Contacting A. Meliora Relational Wellness by phone or email with questions about the Tending Circle does not create any contractual agreement or obligation. A formal agreement is established only upon completing enrollment and payment through our membership portal.
Agreement to Terms: By enrolling in and using the Tending Circle service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not enroll.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of and participation in the Tending Circle service offered by A. Meliora Relational Wellness ("we," "us," or "our"), operated through our website at ameliorawellness.com (the "Site"). These Terms apply to all members and prospective members of the Tending Circle.
The Tending Circle is a weekly virtual coworking community for licensed therapists in solo private practice. It is a professional development and peer community service. Sessions include structured work blocks, brief check-ins, and closing peer reflection. The service also includes monthly intention setting sessions, quarterly reset sessions, and access to a collaborative resource board currently in development.
The Tending Circle is not a mental health service, psychotherapy practice, clinical consultation group, supervision group, or training program. Participation does not establish a therapist-client, counselor-client, or any other licensed clinical relationship. Nothing communicated through the Tending Circle constitutes clinical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or supervision.
As licensed clinicians, members are well aware of mental health emergency resources. We note, as a matter of record, that the Tending Circle is not an emergency service. If you or someone you know requires immediate support, please contact emergency services or a licensed mental health professional.
Membership in the Tending Circle is open to licensed therapists in solo private practice holding active licensure in California, including LCSW, MFT, PsyD, LPC, and equivalent credentials. By enrolling, you represent and warrant that you hold a current, active California license and will notify us promptly if your licensure status changes. We reserve the right to verify licensure and to suspend or terminate membership if active licensure cannot be confirmed.
Your membership automatically renews each month until you cancel.
Founding membership: $75.00 per month, billed monthly on the same date each month.
General enrollment: $100.00 per month, billed monthly on the same date each month.
Your membership will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before your next billing date. By enrolling, you expressly authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
To cancel: Email [email protected] or call 650.200.3998 with at least two weeks' notice before your next billing date. You may also cancel through the Stripe membership portal used to enroll. Cancellation is as easy as enrollment.
Founding Membership ($75/month): Available to the first 10 members. The founding rate is locked in for as long as you remain an active continuous member. If you leave and return after three months or more, you will be welcomed back at a rate set at 25% below the general enrollment rate at the time of your return, as an expression of gratitude for your early trust.
General Enrollment ($100/month): Opens once the founding cohort of 10 members is full. Members who leave and return will be welcomed back at the current general enrollment rate at the time of their return.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By enrolling, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method. We do not store your full payment card details. Stripe's terms and privacy policy govern payment processing and are available at stripe.com.
If a payment does not go through, you will be notified automatically. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue with you before suspending access. We do not wish to lose members over administrative issues.
We will notify you of any changes to your membership rate at least 30 days before the change takes effect, via the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new rate. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel before the new rate takes effect.
In accordance with California law, we will send you an annual reminder that your membership is active and auto-renewing, including your current rate and instructions on how to cancel.
You may cancel your membership at any time with two weeks' notice before your next billing date by:
- Emailing [email protected]
- Calling 650.200.3998
- Cancelling through the Stripe membership portal used to enroll
Cancellation is as easy as enrollment. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Your access will continue through the end of your current billing period.
Membership fees are non-refundable for the current billing period once charged. If you cancel with proper notice, you will not be charged for the following billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused sessions within a billing period.
Exception: If a session is cancelled by the facilitator and no substitute facilitator is provided, members will receive a pro-rated credit toward their next billing cycle.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership if you violate these Terms, fail to maintain active California licensure, or engage in conduct that is harmful to other members or the integrity of the group. In the event of termination for cause, no refund will be issued for the current billing period. In the event of termination without cause, a pro-rated refund will be provided for unused days in the current billing period.

Meliora Relational Wellness and its facilitator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Tending Circle, including but not limited to damages related to professional decisions made, referrals given or received, or reliance on information shared in sessions or community spaces.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total membership fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under California law.
The Tending Circle is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or uninterrupted access. We do not warrant that participation in the Tending Circle will result in any particular professional outcome, referral, or business result.
We reserve the right to modify the format, structure, schedule, or content of the Tending Circle with reasonable advance notice of material changes. If a change substantially alters the nature of the service, founding members will be offered the opportunity to continue under revised terms or to cancel without obligation, as described in the Expectations document.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation does not resolve the dispute within 30 days, the parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing further action. If mediation is unsuccessful, the parties agree to submit to binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a California consumer under applicable consumer protection laws.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
